Our Story

We’re Emma and Justin Burstall—it’s great to meet you! Emma brings the energy with her love for animals and spontaneous spirit, while Justin is the more reserved, thoughtful half (just as smitten with donkeys, of course).

Burclair Miniatures actually began with something other than donkeys—two miniature goats named Charlie and Cliffe! Emma received them as a birthday gift, and that sparked her interest in miniature animals. After that came miniature pigs, llamas, cows, and alpacas. And, somewhere along the way, the miniature donkeys made their way into our hearts.

We started with four miniature donkeys: one Jack, two Jennies, and a 10-day-old Jenny foal. We instantly fell for their sweet faces, big dark eyes, calm nature, and affectionate behavior.

Though our barnyard numbers are always shifting, we now have five Jacks, twenty-five Jennies, three foals and two beautiful riding Mammoth donkeys.

Please note that Burclair Miniatures is a private hobby farm and is not open for general farm visits or public tours. As a small-scale operation, we prioritise the well-being and safety of our animals and maintain a quiet, low-traffic environment. We kindly ask that visits be limited to those who are seriously interested in purchasing one of our miniature donkeys.
